Annette Kelm
We are pleased to present a slideshow by Annette Kelm, whose photography offers a radically new approach to the medium. Kelm’s work questions the very nature of seeing, unsettling the viewer by her compositions which ‘make strange’ everyday objects (as in her series which juxtaposes paisley handkerchiefs with sheaths of wheat), and deconstructing our reactions to art (as in ‘J’aime Paris, 2013’, where the subject’s facial expression slightly differs in each image in the series, subverting the usually static genre of portraiture).
